Pinkhoff is a modern Art Deco font that is clearly influenced by the Amsterdam School style from the years 1920-1930. It was designed by Leon Hulst for TypeFaith Foundry. The font evokes an atmosphere from the roaring twenties and crashing thirties, with a nostalgic, sometimes vintage feel, which is now considered stylish and trendy. Pinkhoff combines the chic lines of Art Deco with a subtly weathered or “ruiny” look. This gives a nostalgic but at the same time refined look. The powerful lines and typographic details exude a “restrained charisma”, fitting retro aesthetics. The Pinkhoff pro version has both capitals and undercast.
